Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By accessing and using Z12 Chat, you declare that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms of Use in full. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Minors: the platform is strictly prohibited for anyone under 18 years of age. By accepting these Terms, you represent and warrant that you are of legal age under the law applicable to you. Use by minors is unlawful; the platform, its operators, and the service provider disclaim liability for unauthorized use by minors to the fullest extent permitted by law.

2. Privacy and Data Protection

This service is designed with privacy as a priority. We do not store cache or cookies for tracking. Session data is strictly necessary for the operation of the chat and is not used for profiling or marketing. In compliance with the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law), the Marco Civil da Internet (Brazilian Internet Civil Framework), and Law No. 14.945/2024 where applicable, we process only the minimum data required for the service to function.

3. Ephemeral Policy and Security Exceptions (ephemeral message lifecycle)

Living privacy: Z12 respects human conversation as naturally ephemeral. Messages and rooms complete a finite lifecycle with definitive physical removal from servers (no backups retained for recovery) after the contracted expiry period.

Encryption: communications are protected with AES-256 encryption. Under normal operation, the platform does not monitor, read, or access the substance of conversations.

Reporting protocol (Brazilian Law No. 15.211/2025): in strict compliance with Brazilian legislation and to help protect against unlawful conduct (including fraud or abuses covered by Felca and related rules), the system provides a reporting tool.

Ephemeral lifecycle suspension: when any participant uses the report button, the automatic completion of the ephemeral message lifecycle is suspended only for data that still exists on the server at the exact moment of the report. That data is isolated and preserved for up to 180 days.

Single purpose: preserved data is intended exclusively for eventual compliance with court orders or requests from competent authorities. The platform does not perform private audits and does not act as a content moderator. If no court order is received within 180 days, the data is permanently deleted.

Access logs are kept in isolation, without database foreign keys to message content, consistent with the Marco Civil da Internet.

4. Access Key and License Consumption

Each access key has a limited number of licenses. Each use of the key consumes one license, regardless of whether it is the same person or different people. Example: if the same person uses the same key twice, it will count as two uses. This is a business rule of the system.

Vouchers and false documents: using forged documents or knowingly false information to purchase vouchers or access keys may constitute crimes under applicable law—including, in Brazil, ideological falsehood (Article 299 of the Penal Code) and related offenses. Such conduct is the sole responsibility of the person who engages in it. The platform, its operators, and the service provider expressly disclaim any liability for unlawful acts by users or third parties in connection with voucher purchases, without prejudice to cooperation with authorities when legally required.

5. Chat Lifecycle

Each room’s duration is defined by your access key (between 1 and 36 hours; default 24 hours). Unless section 3 applies because a report was filed, the conversation is physically deleted when the first participant leaves the room (exit/close) or, if still active, after expiry when the system runs scheduled cleanup—there is no recovery and participants may be notified and redirected.

6. User Responsibility

You are responsible for the content you share. Do not use the service for illegal activities, harassment, or distribution of harmful content. The service provider is not liable for user-generated content.

7. Service Availability

The service is provided “as is”. We strive for availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service with prior notice when possible.
